Mesa Springs Retirement Center
In 1988 TLP was commissioned by Hendrick Medical Center to develop a master plan for an upscale resort community for seniors located on 112 acres in south Abilene, Texas. The design concept was for a full continuum of living that would accommodate unmatched services, and a rich variety of cultural and social activities. The facility was acquired by Sears Methodist Retirements Systems in 2008.
In addition to the various forms and densities of residential units, the centrally located 90-bed Mesa Springs Health Care Center represents the key element in the services offered at Mesa Springs. In Mesa Springs Health Care Center’s Medicare Skilled Nursing program, nursing care is coordinated by a Registered Nurse in conjunction with an in-house skilled rehabilitation team of Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists.
